Out in the Garden Nursery offers more than one hundred varieties of perennials including ferns, Hosta, Ligularia, Heuchera, Tiarella, Dicentra, Carex, Brunnera and Cimicifuga. Our emphasis is on shade plants. Shade provides wonderful opportunities to bring color and visual interest  to the garden using foliage and texture. We also grow a number of sun-loving plants that we feel are great additions to any garden!

We enjoy helping clients create appealing plant combinations. Our plant selection is constantly being refined and updated, providing a broad range of choices in many new and proven varieties.

Many of the plants we offer at our nursery are evergreen (or ever-purple, ever-chartreuse, as the case may be) for year-round interest.

Out in the Garden Nursery is located in the heart of Clackamas County at the edge of the City of Molalla, approximately 50 minutes from downtown Portland, Oregon. In addition to numerous other specialty nurseries there are a number of points of interest to see in the area. These include the Rosse Posse Acres elk farm and petting zoo, the Dibble House and and Von der Ahe House historical museum, Feyrer Park, Shady Dell Pacific Railroad, The Oregon Garden (Silverton), Silver Falls State Park (Silverton) and the Molalla Buckeroo.

In addition to plant sales, we also accept clean used plastic nursery pots and trays for recycling. If we, or other nursery owners that we associate with, cannot re-use the pots we take them to Agri Plas where plastic is recycled into other useful products!
